THE VINTAGE SAREES
The majority of my customers are fashion designers who make whole ranges of kaftans, kimonos, sarongs, and other exotic and bespoke clothing, from saree fabric.
Whether your preference is for silk, chiffon, or cotton fabric, and whether you like plain, geometric or floral designs, and even if you are wanting embroidered, beaded or sequined sarees, you will find what you need, in the colour of your choice, at my shop, because I like to keep my stock level at about 4000 sarees, at all times.
Certainly you won't find a more comprehensive collection of beautiful, pre-owned sarees, for sale, anywhere in South Africa.
REPURPOSING SAREES
Sarees are so versatile. They can be repurposed as curtains, cushions, throws, table cloths, lampshades, kaftans, sarongs, skirts, scarves, festival shade, and anything else one can think of.

BESPOKE CLOTHING MADE FROM SAREES
Ellen will make a kaftan for you, for a sewing fee of R200. So just choose the saree fabric that you like in my shop, pay me for the saree, and i will send the fabric, with your measurements, to Ellen, who will sew the kaftan, and return it to my shop, for you to collect.
Ellen can also make more complex designs, with the sewing fee increasing with complexity.
Ellen also does alterations.

"WALLPAPER" USING SAREE FABRIC
A feature wall, or column will really stand out, if covered with glued saree fabric. Much cheaper, and more fun to apply, than standard wall-paper. Just choose your sarees and I will advise you how to decorate with them.
I have also trained a diligent local young man, Flippie, to do the "papering" for you, for a fee, if you opt not to do it yourself.

SAREE DRAPING IN PLACE OF, OR BELOW YOUR CEILING.
A cheap and fun way to transform a boring room into an exotic, exciting space, is to drape sarees instead of installing a ceiling, or, if you already have a ceiling, then just under the ceiling.
Flippie will install the sarees for you, for a fee, either individually, or after they have been sewn together by Ellen.
